Bringing together researchers from diverse fields, the event cultivates an atmosphere of creative exchange and networking within the Faculty. This year\u2019s Research Day took place on 27 March 2023 at the Unitobler and was opened by Dean Prof. Dr Gabriele Rippl and the President of the Walter Benjamin Kolleg, Prof. Dr Stefan Rebenich. A number of scholars at various career stages presented their posters, including the TraSIS team, before allowing the audience to take a closer look and ask questions. Immediately afterwards, the attendees voted for the best poster design and presentation. The TraSIS poster, designed by Laura Emunds and presented by the entire team, won the award.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other posters presented at the even can be seen&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wbkolleg.unibe.ch\/ueber_uns\/oeffentlichkeit\/veranstaltungen\/phil_hist_forschungstag_2023\/index_ger.html\">here<\/a>. They addressed a wide range of topics, including the role and participation of women in equestrian sport in Germany and Switzerland, the application of digital methods to help tourists to engage with cultural heritage, the relationship between humans and predators from a social-anthropological perspective, the Jeunes S\u00e9n\u00e9galais movement in global-historical perspective, language and dialect patterns in New Caledonia, and women\u2019s cloisters in Solothurn in the 17<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;and 18<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;centuries.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the poster session, the faculty of the Walter Benjamin Kolleg and researchers working at the Institute for Archaeological Sciences organised a Pecha-Kucha presentation on the theatrical staging of Sumerian literature. The audience also heard an insightful presentation on Database templates for\u00a0<em>nodegoat<\/em>\u00a0by colleagues working with Digital Humanities. Additionally, presenters took part in a research\u00a0\u2018speed-dating\u2019 event and attended the presentation of two new research platforms.
